Revealing Human Emotions: Decoding Facial Expressions of Depressed Patients

It becomes a challenge for counsellors, psychiatrists, psychologists and other health providers to fully understand depressed patients. Depressed patients are good at masking themselves. However, by identifying the facial expressions among depressed patients, the incidence of suicidal cases can be minimized. A lot of research is conducted in different areas such as psychopathology and management of depression. Hence, this research contributes to the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals

Unmasking the Face-Relationship Between Verbal and Nonverbal Communication

Our facial expressions can affect our relationships. A lot of misunderstanding is caused by the hidden messages in our facial expressions. As a result, a good understanding of facial expressions will contribute to a better relationship with the people around us. This research focuses on the congruency between emotions and facial expressions and the interpretation of hidden messages. The limitations and variation of interpretation of facial expressions help to boost human interpersonal relationships.

A Qualitative Study on Relationship Boosters Through Touch

Touch is a basic method used to deliver messages to another person. We tend to use touch to execute care, love, punishment, encouragement and other human expressions. The objective of this research is to evaluate the functions of touch as a tool to enhance relationships with others. The magnitude of touch, the position of touch, and the emotions expressed when touching are studied in this qualitative research. The output of this research can be used by couples, education providers, politicians, business managers and others.

Systematic Ways to Read People Through Their Thoughts and Intentions

There are various methods and theories used to predict intention. However, each method has its strengths and weaknesses. The research objective is to evaluate the strengths and limitations of each model, the usage of each model in different settings and scenarios. Integration of theories and models are translated into practical models to evaluate human thoughts and intentions in this research. During the second stage of this research, application of tools in various industries such as business, health, legal and education are tested to evaluate the validity and the reliability of these research models.
