In team building, the individual members nurture and grow with the group, while the entire process nurtures and develops the groups itself. The goal of team building is specifically geared towards establishing a productive and effective team through sharing of expectations, experiences, values, group work ethics, and resources.

Despite the possible dangers of working in teams, work teams have tremendous potential for high performance. The dangers highlighted are actual experiences of individuals working in groups. They need to be managed and dealt with in order to encourage synergy in works team.

Individuals must be willing to work at overcoming hindrances and obstacles before they engage in collective performance. They must nurture trust and have confidence in one another’s capabilities and demonstrate the willingness to act for common goals.
