Dr. Beynon is Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Conrad Centre for Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology. He also founder and past Chair of the Conrad Centre Business Advisory Council.
Dr. Beynon teaches a course to master level students of Creating Technology Based Companies. Many of the students go on to start their own businesses. Dr. Beynon focuses on the students applying what they learn in their course work to their businesses, and on networking the students with mentors, advisors, professionals and business associates from the local business community.
Dr. Beynon is also CEO of Technology Convergence Inc., a company that has several patents around the production of green methanol. He is currently working on designing, financing and building a commercial scale demonstration plant to confirm that the plant is carbon neutral and/or a carbon sink (up to 26% of the total output). Current technology results in carbon emissions in the range of 30% to 60% of total output.
Dr. Beynon is an investor, mentor, advisory board member and board member to a broad range of small and mid sized companies. He has been assisting start up companies since the 1970s as well as starting several of his own companies.
Dr. Beynon is a member of the Conrad Centre Advisory Council, the University of Waterloo Faculty of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council and the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus Advisory Council. He is an active proponent of experiential learning, co-operative education and inventor owned intellectual property.
Human Behaviour Academy (HBA) is a non-profit organisation that trains candidates on skills, knowledge and attitude to deal with human attitude and behaviour. Besides, HBA develops professionalism among the practitioners.
